Lean, tasty and easy to make, these Asian Turkey Burgers are a staple in my house. Turkey also has the added bonus if being lean, high in protein and an amino acid called Tryptophan which is is a precursor for Serotonin production. That means you feel happier after eating it! Boom. The Asian spices and sauces add heaps of flavour without adding too many extra calories. Added bonus.

What's in it?
500g Turkey Breast Mince
1/4 Cup Flour
1/2 Fine Grated Carrot
1 Fine Grated Zucchini
1/2 Finely Diced Red Onion
1/2 Cup Diced Spring Onion
2 Tsp Sesame Oil
2 Tsp Crushed Garlic
2 Tsp Coriander Seed Powder
2 Tsp Paprika
2 Tsp Fish Sauce
1 Tbsp Siracha Sauce
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
Cracked Black Pepper
Let's Cook!

Finely grate the carrot and zucchini before using a paper towel to squeeze all of the water out of the vegetables over the sink. This is important so the burgers don't go all soggy and fall apart. Next dice up the red onion and spring onion before combining all ingredients in the mixing bowl, except the flour. Using your hands, mix all the ingredients together. Now, add in the flour and work the mixture into small burger patties. Place themon a chopping board or baking tray. If you have a BBQ these are great to do on there. Oil the pan and place one side down before shutting the lid (or putting a lid on your pan) and let cook for 4minutes. Flip the burgers and close the lid once again and cook for an additional 4 minutes or until the burgers are cooked through. This depends on how thick you make each burger. Serve burgers up after resting them for 2 minutes. These go great with some air-fried potatoes and greens!
